SHEQ SOFTWARE
Our software products are unique and have been developed in the South African workplace environment. We are the only suppliers of a combined waste management and SHEQ package. The package is a combination of a SHEQ software framework and the JONES – Wastage Management framework.
The basic system is built on ISO 9001 – 2015 principles and uses non-conformances as the basis for wastage management in companies.
The importance of a structural approach to data gathering and use of proper root cause analysis, and problem prevention in future by lock out, are emphasized in the package.
Immense savings of 1.5 to 2% of sales and frequently over R1 million per annum are achieved in small to medium size companies. Risks of eventual accidents and damage to persons and assets are greatly reduced by the package and its application. Risks of legislation based penalties and fines from incidents or non-compliance are also greatly reduced or eliminated.
SHEQ SERVICES
Jones Industrial Mixers provide a number of service offerings for SHEQ systems. These services are of four types:
1. We offer fully outsourced SHEQ management services. These services are provided with a permanent junior Jones staff member on site to control the data gathering and analysis processes and to provide onsite services such as posting of signage. A Jones senior manager chairs the regular SHEQ meetings and drives the internal programs for clients.
2. We offer a short training and lead-in package to establish an effective Wastage Management program, using the SHEQ package as basic framework. This is an initial assistance program, but is also extended into an ongoing monthly or quarterly follow up program. This assistance ensures that the savings resulting from the wastage management work are sustained and that higher savings levels are achieved.
3. We offer extended programs to assist with full set up aspects such as key document preparation. A summary work program as a spreadsheet is prepared and detail documents are then prepared from typical base documents for process industries.
4. We offer training of sales and marketing staff on the benefits of SHEQ as a marketing tool. The latest legislation changes such as for hazardous products and pressure vessels and the engineering design implications are also explained and easy to use checklists are presented.
