Blades
Jones dispersers are high performance machines and will achieve good dispersions in typically 20 minutes for most dispersions with the right blade fitted.
Blade wear has always been a factor in performance of dispersers and worn blades should be promptly replaced to maintain a high quality product and efficient dispersion. Worn blades can be costly and performance will deteriorate rapidly after wear of 20% and more. Batch times are known to regularly double with worn or wrong size blades. Avoid false economy traps through extended use of worn or undersized blades. Contact and consult with Jones for all your blade requirements.
We recommend only Jones super-blades for maximum efficiency performance of your dispersers and your entire paint plant.
Jones disperser blades are used for most dispersing applications, since they produces high shear dispersion, pumping action, and size reduction – especially with heavy agglomerates.
Jones blades are made from high grade 304 Stainless Steel and are designed for far greater dispersion efficiency than competitive products.
Immense care is taken to ensure that precise angles of the blade edges are maintained, as this is critical for high efficiency dispersion.
Most blades are stocked and available from 25mm (1inch) to 600mm (24inch) diameter, and are suitable for laboratory, to pilot lines, to full production.
Blades are typically held by top and bottom blade holders with 2 fasteners. Blade holders are recommended to maintain a rigid blade setting and restrict flexing of the blade itself during operation. Jones blades may also be bored to fit other than Jones dispersers.
Jones blades are used in inks, paint, coatings, adhesives, ceramic, rubber and chemical industries. They are designed to disperse, dissolve, or emulsify solid/liquid/gas materials.
